Dublin

By Felicia Sobani

Dublin. A city of life.
Filled with art, music, theatre and literature
In every side street.
Dublin, a city of life.

A, the first letter of the alphabet, a musical note
A singular, individual thing that turns into something beautiful.
Dublin, a city of life.

City, a large town or center of population.
Filled with people and culture.
Dublin, a city of life.

Of, meaning resulting from, or at a distance from.
As in Dublin the city 1358 km away from home
Dublin, a city of life.

Life. The existence of being,
The noun of living.
The challenge for scientists and philosophers to define the meaning.
Dublin - imbued with life,
in its own particular way,

Through the many countless stories it has to tell.
Not only of the ones now living behind and under its walls and roofs,
But also those who built them to hold all these stories in their embrace.

Dublin speaks to you.
By its literature: stories of life when the voice is no longer heard.
By its music: the flight of all words and their sounds when speech goes on
strike.
By its paintings: the sharp strokes of the paintbrush when words look
helpless
By its poetry: the ancient oak tree under whose shades, sounds, colors are expressed.

Dublin. A city of life.
